AVID Property Group

AVID Property Group (AVID) – one of Australia’s largest land developers – is responsible for an award-winning portfolio of residential and industrial developments across Australia with 37 projects, more than 12,000 residential lots and a gross revenue pipeline of $4.7 billion*.

AVID has successfully used integrated public relations to build markets for its new communities across Australia and to engage with key stakeholder audiences on issues that are central to its brand and corporate positioning. At the crux of this success has been BBS. Since 2017, BBS has created, managed and delivered AVID’s media and profiling strategy at a national level while streamlining all PR activity seamlessly across AVID’s residential land projects – at a community and regional level – across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.

The core aim of BBS’ communications activity is to generate targeted PR and meaningful stakeholder engagement to raise the public profile of AVID. In doing so, we aim to bring each local community brand to life through meaningful ‘real stories’ and local engagement, while growing and strengthening the position of AVID nationally by elevating the company’s thought leaders in the public realm.

Our work covers media relations, issues management, brand profiling, content marketing and social media, with our engagement stretching across mainstream and industry media, profiling business activity, senior management, thought leadership and development projects.

A key focus of the work is on building an understanding of the AVID business, its values and priorities in a market where alignment with community attitudes is critical to sales success.

Intern at BBS

BBS operates a University Internship Program which offers placements in line with the university semesters, plus holiday period intakes, generally June/July and December/January/ February.

We accommodate trimester students and our program is open to applicants who are pursuing an internship of their own accord outside of the standard university semester calendar.

As a BBS intern you can expect to work alongside experienced professionals on real client projects, an environment which provides an accurate picture of what life as a communications consultant is like.

BBS interns are always considered first for our graduate roles and many of our former interns have gone on to senior roles within our firm.

Working in a consultancy is diverse, fast-paced. It’s often said that “you’ll learn more in your first year in consultancy than in your first 3 – 5 years in another role”.

To apply for a BBS Internship, please email the Intern Program Coordinators with the following:
