Queensland Treasury engaged BBS to develop the precinct positioning, brand and narrative for Herston Quarter as part of the international Expression of Interest (EOI) campaign to identify a master developer for the former Royal Children’s Hospital site in Herston, Brisbane.
BBS conceived the Herston Quarter name and supported the project team, finance/commercial and property advisors to take the project to market, ultimately resulting in the appointment of Australian Unity as the winning developer consortium.
The core challenge was to create a campaign which presented the strengths and opportunities of the site to the development community so that an appropriate development partner could be secured with a financial package that met the needs of the Queensland Government.
From the initial Expression of Interest (EOI) phase through Request for Proposal (RFP) to final developer appointment, BBS supported our client to engage productively with site-users, the property and development community and government agencies to establish a positive environment for the redevelopment on a critical piece of public land.
