McCullough Robertson – In Practice

McCullough Robertson is a leading Australian law firm and the 430+ strong team supports clients with complex, challenging and high-profile transactions.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, BBS developed a podcast series which allowed McCullough Robertson to stay top of mind with clients and the broader market with highly relevant content delivered via an appealing digital medium.

The podcast series – In Practice – was identified as not only an opportunity to deliver advice and value to existing clients and potential referrers, but also as a way to continue the human ‘connection’ between key lawyers and those audiences they could no longer meet face-to-face.

BBS led the podcast concept development, platform implementation and promotional activities, and project managed the production process, including the use of BBS’s in-house media producer. Our award-winning team of copywriters, project managers and media professionals delivered a launch-ready series in under two weeks.

In the fortnight after the podcast launch, the series had attracted more than 130 subscribers across four different countries, with key promotional activities driving peak listening periods.

Intern at BBS

BBS operates a University Internship Program which offers placements in line with the university semesters, plus holiday period intakes, generally June/July and December/January/ February.

We accommodate trimester students and our program is open to applicants who are pursuing an internship of their own accord outside of the standard university semester calendar.

As a BBS intern you can expect to work alongside experienced professionals on real client projects, an environment which provides an accurate picture of what life as a communications consultant is like.

BBS interns are always considered first for our graduate roles and many of our former interns have gone on to senior roles within our firm.

Working in a consultancy is diverse, fast-paced. It’s often said that “you’ll learn more in your first year in consultancy than in your first 3 – 5 years in another role”.
