Woods Group

Woods Group is a family-owned  diversified agribusiness operating from Goondiwindi in Queensland. Woods Group engaged BBS to provide strategic branding, marketing and communications and risk communication services to its divisions which include seed and grain marketing, transport, food manufacturing and stock feed.

Our team has also supported Woods Group businesses with intense media engagement, internal communication and reputation management through some periods which featured critical business challenges.

Traditionally, Woods Group’s communications, branding and messaging had been formed organically as the company evolved over time.

To achieve consistent messaging, BBS facilitated discussions and worked collaboratively with Woods Group’s senior managers to distil their unique selling points, articulate their brand promise, and develop consistent messaging about Woods Group to the market.

BBS coordinated the design of a new website, logo, tagline and key messages; created a comprehensive, tailored social media policy; and developed an e-newsletter and other marketing collateral.

The new website significantly improved Woods Group’s SEO ranking and page visits and delivered key metrics such as open rates and click-throughs, giving Woods Group an insight into what is important to their customers. The refreshed e-newsletter now reaches a greater number of people, with more frequency and consistency than ever before.

BBS achieved a timely rollout of all marketing and communications collateral and supported the company’s positioning within the rapidly growing and niche high-protein food manufacturing and production industry.

Intern at BBS

BBS operates a University Internship Program which offers placements in line with the university semesters, plus holiday period intakes, generally June/July and December/January/ February.

We accommodate trimester students and our program is open to applicants who are pursuing an internship of their own accord outside of the standard university semester calendar.

As a BBS intern you can expect to work alongside experienced professionals on real client projects, an environment which provides an accurate picture of what life as a communications consultant is like. You’ll also have a portfolio of work to take you forward to a future role.

BBS interns are always considered first for our graduate roles and many of our former interns have gone on to senior roles within our firm.

Working in a consultancy is diverse, fast-paced. It’s often said that “you’ll learn more in your first year in consultancy than in your first 3 – 5 years in another role”.
