Varsity College on the Gold Coast is one of Australia’s largest public schools with more than 3500 students. The College enrols students from prep to year 12 in an extremely diverse curriculum involving academic study, work-related learning and a host of extracurricular activities from sport to the arts.
The College engaged BBS to review its communications arrangements with all external stakeholders, including parents and caregivers, the local community, business and supporting entities.
Our scope of work involved auditing existing activities and messages, identifying communication needs and preferences of key audiences and then designing a new communications program which was effective but also efficient.
We conducted workshops with students, parents, staff and others to identify audience profiles, ‘customer’ journeys and critical communication touch points.
The result was a streamlined and bespoke communications strategy which the College has now taken through to implementation with its inhouse team.
