Brisbane Girls Grammar School (BGGS) is considered one of Australia’s leading secondary education providers. Established in 1875, the school is one of Queensland’s original Grammar schools and prides itself on a reputation of constantly pushing the bar to ‘test the unfamiliar’ to achieve excellence. Producing the school’s first podcast series was no exception.
BBS was engaged in January 2020 to produce and launch BGGS’ first podcast series, Illumine. Considered to be the first podcast series produced by a secondary girls’ school in Australia, BGGS was eager to leverage this fast-growing platform in a clever and strategic way to form part of its already extensive marketing and engagement mix.
Working closely with BGGS, BBS is responsible for producing and editing the program – made up of eight episodes per year – to bring the team’s early concepts to life. The result was a professional, informative and engaging podcast hosted by Principal Jacinda Euler, discussing a range of considered topics from enhancing critical thinking in the classroom to the power of hope in education.
BBS won The Public Relations Industry Association (PRIA) 2021 National Golden Target Award in the category Thought Leadership Campaign for our work on the Illumine podcast project.
