Children’s Hospital Foundation Website

The Children’s Hospital Foundation (CHF) helps sick and injured children by funding life-saving medical research, investing in vital new equipment, and providing support and entertainment for children and their families during hospital stays.

BBS has worked with CHF on a number of projects since 2005. In August 2019, CHF engaged BBS to support the overhaul of the Foundation’s website, in particular the Patient and Family Support page which details the 15 key services CHF provides for patients and their families at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The aim was to update existing content to include greater detail on each service and share patient stories in a thoughtful and impactful way, so that the content was more engaging, built a greater understanding of services offered and delivered a more effective fundraising call to action.

Following interviews with patients’ family members and service volunteers, BBS drafted content that showcased a collection of touching stories that clearly convey the importance of each service for patients and their families, and encourage donations, volunteers or equipment contributions.

Intern at BBS

BBS operates a University Internship Program which offers placements in line with the university semesters, plus holiday period intakes, generally June/July and December/January/ February.

We accommodate trimester students and our program is open to applicants who are pursuing an internship of their own accord outside of the standard university semester calendar.

As a BBS intern you can expect to work alongside experienced professionals on real client projects, an environment which provides an accurate picture of what life as a communications consultant is like.

BBS interns are always considered first for our graduate roles and many of our former interns have gone on to senior roles within our firm.

Working in a consultancy is diverse, fast-paced. It’s often said that “you’ll learn more in your first year in consultancy than in your first 3 – 5 years in another role”.
